2. Account Registration and Usage
- Students, trainers, and teachers must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials. Sharing login credentials with third parties is strictly prohibited.
- Any activity conducted under a user’s account will be considered as performed by the registered user.
- Misuse of the platform, including engaging in illegal activities, violating these terms, or breaching platform guidelines, may result in immediate suspension or termination of the user’s account.
3. Privacy and Data Protection
- Data Security: The New School platform ensures the security of all user data through encryption and secure storage.
- Data Collection: Information such as names, email addresses, courses taken or offered, and progress may be collected to improve the platform experience.
- Data Usage: We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties, except where required by law or in the event of a platform merger or acquisition.
- Data Retention: Users (students, trainers, and teachers) can request the deletion of their personal data in compliance with applicable privacy laws.
4. Content and Intellectual Property
- All articles, courses, and educational materials published on the New School platform are the intellectual property of the platform and/or their respective content creators.
- Teachers and trainers may not distribute, copy, or otherwise reproduce content without permission from the original content owner.
- Teachers and trainers who upload content on the platform grant New School a non-exclusive, perpetual license to host and distribute this content for educational purposes.
5. Account Suspension or Termination
- Grounds for Suspension/Termination: New School reserves the right to suspend or terminate the accounts of students, trainers, and teachers under the following circumstances:
- Violation of these legal procedures or platform policies.
- Engaging in unauthorized access, hacking, or data breaches.
- Disseminating inappropriate, false, or malicious content.
- Theft, unlawful distribution, or misuse of platform data or content.
- Legal Penalties: Any user, whether a student, trainer, or teacher, found guilty of stealing or distributing data without authorization will face legal action. Penalties may include civil or criminal charges, fines, and other legal consequences, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Compensation for Damages: Users who cause harm to the platform by stealing, leaking, or misusing data will be required to compensate the platform for any damages, including but not limited to financial loss, reputational harm, and loss of intellectual property.
- Notification: Users will receive formal notice if their account is being investigated for violations. Depending on the severity of the offense, accounts may be suspended or terminated without prior notice.
- Appeals: Students, trainers, and teachers may appeal if they believe their account was wrongfully suspended or terminated. All appeals must be submitted within 30 days of receiving the suspension notice.
6. Responsibilities of Students, Trainers, and Teachers
- Students: Must engage with the platform in a respectful manner and complete coursework with integrity. Misconduct such as plagiarism or cheating may result in account suspension.
- Trainers: Must provide high-quality, accurate, and appropriate content. Trainers are responsible for the courses they create and deliver. Misleading, inaccurate, or harmful content will be removed, and trainers may face account penalties.
- Teachers: Must maintain a professional environment and ensure the educational materials provided are of high quality and adhere to platform guidelines.
- All users are expected to report any inappropriate or questionable content to the platform administrators.
